How I knew it was coming

The clues are as follows in chronological order:
Clue #1 I’ve suspected he had a ring for a long time because he was taking a receipt out of his pocket and he was like “don’t look, I don’t know if you can see this”
Clue #2 Amber hugged me at church and then looked at my hands and I said “no, no ring there yet” and she was like “not yet”
Clue #3 Ryan freaked out when he said “don’t forget we are having a date on Friday” and I had forgotten. I didn’t have any plans or anything…but when we hang out all the time why would he freak out over walking around campus, that could be moved around to any time right? That was when my women’s intuition really kicked in.
Clue #4 I would talk to my mom about something mundane, just talking about my day and she would ask me “is anything else going on in your life”. But in her defense, I asked her about it and she swore that she wasn’t even thinking about that when she was asking me.
Clue #5 Thursday night, Daniel said “are you excited” to Ryan. It was totally out of the blue and out of context.
By this time I was pretty sure it was going to be on Friday, like I said. I think it was about 90% my intuition which is almost always right…I knew when he was going to ask me out, I knew that I was accepted for the internship I had applied for…sometimes I just know things. So I was seeking out pieces to the puzzle and I found them.
Clue #6 Friday night comes around. He is all dressed up, but he told me he just didn’t change after work…could be true. So we walk around campus and he keeps checking his watch and his phone, if I didn’t suspect what was happening I would have said something like “what, do you have a hot date you have to get to” but I didn’t want him to know I suspected so I let it go. Also, when we hold hands my thumb gets caught in his pocket because his pockets are at just the right height and are angled such that when our hands swing my thumb just goes right in. When I was on his right side, he was like “you always do that, let’s not stick your thumb in my pocket.” Again, if I didn’t suspect something I probably would have stuck my whole hand in his pocket. The clincher for that was when I was on the other side, he said “that’s ok, you can do it to that pocket”

So like I said, mostly it was just my own intuition that tipped me off. And I have to commend him on his extensive planning and I have to commend everyone on their awesome secret keeping skills—people have known about this for months!!!! I only knew about it since the 3rd. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make December 5th the best night of my life (so far!).
